| Gordon Kraft: What we remember about Gordon, better known as "Flash", was his great tenor sax sound and improvisation on rides. He was one of the best in the fleet. We don't know much about his life after the Navy except that he want back to native home in Camden, N.J. Ironically, that is where the Big J sits in memory and as a museum. Flash got married and apparently was in the sales and marketing profession. According to Sammy, he continued playing tenor sax in small combos around the Camden-Philly area as an avocation. We believe he passed away sometime in the 1980's. |
