Paul K. Driscoll

Paul Driscoll:  Paul (Lefty) played clarinet and tenor sax, but what a lot of folks in the Navy didn't know was that he was an excellent pianist.  He could also arrange charts and was a versatile musician.  He was also a fine human being.  The kind that would give you the shirt off his back.  Just prior to reporting to the USS New Jersey, he was married to a beautiful blonde woman named Nancy.  All during our Far East tour he was true blue to her.  Later, they had little blonde girls at that time.  Lefty left the Navy and joined the Air Force Band.  Not sure how long he was with them.  Later in civilian life he formed the Kenny Paul Sextet that played around the Boston area and later in Florida where the family moved.  The Sextet made some recordings. He played piano-keyboard and sounded like Carmen Cavalaro.  Sadly, Paul died about 5 years ago of Pancreatic Cancer.
